Lycoming Creek Bird Walk

Lycoming Creek Bird Walk

We will explore several sections of excellent riparian and wetland habitat during this walk close to Williamsport. We plan to walk approximately 0.5 miles of the Lycoming Creek Bike Path, which is flat and paved, as we search for waterfowl, heron, kingfishers and more. If interest and time permit, we will extend the day by driving a couple miles north to the area of Powy’s Curve / Haleeka Wetlands. There, we will also seek out similar species in the wetlands and forest.

Directions: (GPS Address: 195 W Creek Rd Cogan Station, PA 17728) From Lycoming Creek Road travel 1.1 miles from Beautys Run Rd (Exit 140 Interstate 99) and turn left onto Bair Road, follow to parking area and the Hepburn Twp recycling center.
