(Saturday Oct 31st 8:00 AM): We will meet our leader at the

south boat launch of the lake. There we will survey the waters of what remains of the lake for waterfowl. The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission is drawing down the lake in anticipation of dam and spillway restoration. It will likely be 3-4 years before we see the lake again! We will assess the situation and water levels as the date draws near to determine the viability of this location for birding. Watch the listserv for details in mid to late October!

Directions: (GPS Address: Rose Valley Lake Boat Ramp South) From Balls Mills take PA 973 East and make first left onto Rose Valley Rd, follow for 4.5 miles, turn right onto Twp Rd 691 for 2 miles and left into parking area.
